Pdf Icon Changed To Black
The problem is intermittent in nature, and reported for the may 2016 release of acrobat reader dc and acrobat.
Pdf icon changed to black. All of my pdf files have had their icons changed to chrome icons. I would especially like to know about the old icons. 11.101.2 installed on my machine.
Adobe is the default reader. Locate and select the following registry key: Acrobat is set to shop images in the icons and view as large icons.
I have tried rebuilding my font cache; Since upgrading to windows 10 from 7, my pdf thumbnail icons often change to plain black and i have to right click/refresh or windowskey+f5 to change them back. When logging in to windows, icons first appear as generic red/white icons, then become images.
On windows, the icon's black square melds into the default black background color of the windows task bar. Create the max cached icons registry key, and then set the value of that key to 2048.to do this, follow these steps: I have tried to set default to both preview and acrobat reader.
Does this mean, now the default pdf viewer is acrobat, whereas before it was reader? And if so, what's the difference. Download icons in all formats or edit them for your designs.
I had the same issue and changing it from thumbnail to icon worked. Upon further research it appears that a clearing of the thumbnails cache is necessary to fix the problem.
